Hello and welcome to my dA account! ! I am AustinSPTD1996, but friends and close acquaintances may simply call me Austin. I'm a born & raised Oregonian, a 27-year-old young adult interested in a career in zoology & conservation, and an overall serious yet fun-loving individual. I've been part of the dA community since December 2015. As far as artistic interests go, I have made collages for wildlife and some animated franchises; I'm also a novice photographer, a fan-fiction writer, novice reviewer and I've dabbled in analyzing cartoon characters too.

I've loved wildlife ever since I first got into nature documentaries at age eight. I'm mostly interested in zoology and wildlife conservation, and my wish is to work at the Oregon Zoo in Portland, OR. On my account's gallery, you will find an assortment of collages that feature some of my favorite animals at my local zoo. On those, I try to spread awareness of the threats that species faces in the wild, and I also provide solutions that people can do to help them.
If you're to gain anything from being around me, it's that I implore you and your loved ones to do your part to protect wildlife, because I believe a more sustainable world where humans, wildlife and nature thrive isn't just possible; it's a necessity.

Zoology isn't my only interest, however. Since I was a youngster, I've always enjoyed animated TV show and movie franchises -- namely ones that came out in the 1990s and early 2000s (2000 - 2009). I find them as sources of enlightenment, endearment and some inspiration -- even today in my early 20s! I'll provide you guys with my top five animated franchises and abstract explanations for my liking of them.
My top five franchises list is as follows as of Quarter I of 2019. Acknowledge this list is my opinion only:
1) The Total Drama franchise.
While some are bound to disagree, I've always enjoyed the Total Drama franchise since it came to the U.S. in 2008. I loved the thrill of the game present in the first two series of it, as well as many of the jokes in the franchise -- some of which actually being witty, the colourful diversity of the characters (in terms of personalities and designs), and the cartoon has even given me some viewpoint-altering pointers for me in my more recent years -- especially with their first spin-off series.
2) The Ice Age franchise.
The Ice Age franchise has always been my favorite movie franchise. While some people have since outgrown it, I remain captivated by the five film-strong franchise for its overall strong sense of family and caring for loved ones, as well as having several colourful, engaging characters, dazzling 3-D animation (especially with some of the animal characters' body types) and a few other view-altering bits for me.
3) The Ed, Edd n Eddy franchise.
Back when I was a little kid during the City Era of Cartoon Network, the Ed, Edd n Eddy franchise was my absolute favorite cartoon. I would watch it as religiously as I could, as it has colourful, quirky characters, bizarre contraptions and scams, oddball humor and entertaining stories; it was (and still is) huge loads of fun for me to get into. It really helped me get through some mundane times in my earlier years.

4) The Danny Phantom franchise.
The Danny Phantom franchise is a cartoon I've been getting back into recently thanks to a good friend of mine. While I haven't seen much of it for years after its 2007 conclusion, I thought it was a cool cartoon, and now that I'm back in it, I think it's even cooler; with colourful characters, multi-layered episodes, lots of action sequences and more, I find it to be one of the best Nicktoons to have ran.

5) The SpongeBob SquarePants franchise.
Having been active since May 1999, some people have since grown out of the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise and while I do think it's been overexploited by Nickelodeon and others, I'd be kidding myself if I didn't still see it as a favorite of mine. Along with EEnE, this was another favorite childhood cartoon of mine, sporting multi-layered characters, witty humor, quality animation and entertaining stories -- mostly in seasons 1 - 4 and 9 - 12 for me. Also, I actually have become more attached to it since the sad death of its creator in Nov 2018, getting more into it as my way of honoring Hillenburg's legacy.

This link provides a collage featuring some of the *insert character* fan buttons made by :iconButtonsMaker:, :iconKyu-Dan: and :icongaby-sunflower: respectively. I managed to print these last year at my current university, and I managed to get the data for these recorded before the Eclipse format took hold.
Following are some beloved animated characters from those franchises, organized by franchise and "downward" preference. Appreciate this isn't a complete list, but rather a list of all the buttons I could find. And for any animated OTPs. Well, I'm not a huge romantic person, but there are some intact couples I legitimately like, with some favorites of mine including (but not exclusively) Noah X Emma (Total Drama) and Danny X Sam (Danny Phantom).

Feel free to look around or ask for more info.
Psst. Guess how many Shiny Pokemon I've caught in Violet. :3
Uh, one for each in all three Pokédexes?
Nope! 105 in total!
Oh, awesome! About 1/6 of all the Pokémon obtainable in “Scarlet and Violet”. You had your file over a year before I started mine so I thought to overestimate.
As far as shiny Pokémon go, I have a Chansey and a Magnemite, both of which I caught in the Blueberry Terrarium.
Do not thank me for favorites.
Hi 👋 thanks for the favorites I love animals of all kinds not just snow leopards 🐆 but really they’ve made an impact on my life since childhood so yeah
